great game!

Bad control and poor gun-play design ruined the graphics and music.

Well, look at here a game that really takes the inspiration of Metal Slug and I kinda like it. The gameplay of this including the visuals is really gorgeous. Especially the pixel art and the details that are in the game, and also the animation that had alot of effort that was put in. The game is very short and very challenging with the jank ass control scheme, no checkpoints, and including the wheel like camera amps up the difficulty even more giving off a classic era of gaming. I loved the character design and how it gives off that Studio Trigger like vibe. Therefore this game is pretty well made but flawed at the same time.

This is a Shmup btw. The enemies are what you expected, unlimited spawn, relentless "Arcade AI", and bullets that track offscreen. Even though I somewhat barely play shmups besides Metal Slug, Touhou, and Rapid reload. I feel like the explosions and enemies feel like im playing playing something that's made by a masochist (im saying this as a good way). Because it gives the player alone see whats like to have a challenging experience. But aside from that One of my major gripes of this game is how super sluggish it is despite being a fast paced shmup its locked in with a 30 fps. Another is grinding for certain weapons and gadgets; yes I know the stages are short but its like having to go through the same BS repeatedly makes it more of a chore, and also the weapons and gadgets in this game is a tad bit expensive. Third, there is NO CHECKPOINTS; which I get it, it is supposed to be a challenging game, but having the player to be forced with a bunch of enemies with a bloated health and a sluggish way to bring explosive gadgets dispatch it not even challenging at this point more likely to be a bit unfair at sometimes. But therefore, then again this game reminds me alot like Metal Slug, Rapid Reload, and Hagane with the sheer difficulty sprinkled into it.

Overall this game not perfect, but more a fun one to say at that despite my major gripes about it. Would I recommend this game. Yes and no.....

I would recommend this game for those who are looking for a absolute challenge in platforming and shmups, or those who are into the action platforming genre, Yes I would recommend.
