Loading screen won't disappear

I started a new save file and now after continuing any save file, the loading screen graphic never disappears. The game loads just fine and I can even move around and enter the escape menu and main menu, but it's all obscured by the loading screen. This is quite unfortunate as I can no longer play the game DX...

Weird bug that forces you to continue charging until the bat auto-cancels

max physics steps per frame lowered from 8-> 2 ( this should prevent less frameskips and have slowdown instead, preventing less errors )
lowered max physics steps per frame to 1 for compatibility
minor tweaks to settings
added buffer after dialogue finish so you don't always swing your bat
made initialization of settings different for AB swap so it won't screw up if off
reversed afterimage setting ( because I made a mistake that it is off by default)

Have some very weird visual artifacting

At first I thought it was normal, but after a certain point it very clearly wasn't I have a clip of it but I don't think I can put that here

Swinging downwards next to a wall occasionally sends you away from the wall

I don't know what causes it, but every once in a while, I try to swing down next to a wall and I get flung backwards as if I swung towards the wall. This happened twice in a row at one of the early points, making me think that a tiled platform was a special "bouncy" material. Only for me to later realize that it was just a bug....

Some of these rooms make my hands hurt and I have a feeling that I'm going to get filtered sooner or later but I'm having fun so far.

The movement in this game seems simple at first but is extremely nuanced. There's quite a few points where I got stuck and had to put it down and it turned out I was missing some application of the mechanics. It's always some application of the mechanics.

Reminds me a bit of Rusted Moss and End is Nigh. Despite looking like Getting Over It + Celeste, it doesn't feel like either of those games even remotely.

This game is so cute and fun and addicting. Lots of tech, fun movement, and execution. It tickles my fighting game brain in good ways. And it's cheap too! I had way more fun playing this in just 4 hours than games I payed more for and played to completion. Big recommend.
