I remember playing this every day after school, been hoping for it to come to Steam for years, and it finally did!! A lot of the time nostalgic games are not as good as you remember them to be, but this is an exception, it's every bit as good as it was all those years ago. This is in my opinion a masterpiece, and it's so amazing to play it again.

Both games in the collection have some campaign levels which upon completing them gives you access to more characters, levels and weapons, the weapon and level variety is great, whereas the characters are only for appearance, but you can mix and match body/eyes/hands/legs of any unlocked character to create many different ones in Chaos Faction 1 and even more customization options in Chaos Faction 2.

The games also have Level Editors so you can make your own custom levels, and a Deathmatch mode which is essentially a "custom game" mode, and in my opinion Deathmatch is where this game truly excels, as you can have up to 6 characters in the fight, and you can put them on teams too, I really enjoy doing 2v2v2 or 3v3, and you can change victory conditions to either "first to X kills, last standing with X lives, or most kills after X time limit" and then you just let the chaos unfold in some crazy matches :D

The game is very easy to learn as well, as you use only the up/down/left/right and Z/X keys, so the controls are quite simple. This is not some complex game you take hours to learn. This is a game where you're able to learn how to play immediately, and then you just have fun for a while. Sounds too easy? Don't worry some of the Campaign levels are ready to bring you a challenge. Each game has 15 campaign levels, and after that you can enjoy the Level Editor and Deathmatch :D And if you're up for it, there's also a Survival mode.

Chaos Faction 1 is a timeless classic, and Chaos Faction 2 is a more than worthy successor to continue it's legacy. While 1 was mostly straight forward and simple in it's casual and good gameplay, 2 takes it to a whole new level giving you allies and multiple enemies in the Campaign levels, new powerful attacks, even crazier weapons and level events. Chaos Faction 2 also comes with Steam Achievements which upon unlocking them also provides some cool new stuff for you to use in game when playing! Woah!! Cool huh?
