Regular update of Puck! A lot of bugs have been fixed, and some gameplay features have changed. Here's what's up:

• Player bodies are now able to collide with pucks
  
• Added dedicated Spectator mode which can be selected via the team select menu
  
• Increased stick size by 20%
  
• Increased focus (LMB) and look (RMB) maximum angle from 90 to 135
  
• Added reverb zones throughout the rink providing more realistic sound effects
  
• Pucks now emit wind noise at high speeds
  
• Pucks colliding with the yellow barrier will now bounce more
  
• Adjusted goal model to more accurately represent a real hockey goal
  
• Goals and assists are now reset after every game
  
• After a game ends, a new one will begin after a 30 second warmup period
  
• Switched to hard edged shadows to make it easier to see what blade angle you have set
  
• Server deployment locations are now alphabetically sorted in server launcher
  
• Decreased network bandwidth which should improve stutter issues on slower connections

• Fixed an issue where FOV would not save after game restarts
  
• Fixed Settings window overlaying pause menu
  
• Fixed free camera mode being too slow in certain situations & added elevation controls
  
• Fixed pucks always spawning on their side (they will now always spawn with the flat face down)
  
• Fixed stick colliders being out of bounds of the actual model
  
• Fixed an issue where the stick would be unable to reach into goals
  
• Fixed air horn sound jitter during goals and intermissions
  
• Fixed the center of the rink being slightly offset from the world center position
  
• Fixed puck texture being mirrored on the bottom
  
• Fixed an issue where setting your FOV to 0 would permanently break the camera
  
• Fixed inconsistent puck hit & player grunt sounds
  
• Fixed a game crash after joining and leaving a game server multiple times
  
• Fixed an issue of the minimap toggle setting would not work in-game
  
• Fixed a synchronization issue where player model colors and names would not update
  
• Fixed an issue where a point would sometimes be scored by the puck from behind the goal

This update addresses some server infrastructure issues faced with Puck. Here's what's changed:

• Constantly running dedicated servers have been removed
  
• Introduced Steam authentication with the Puck backend service
  
• Players running the game via Steam can now launch their own servers in any region
  
• Unoccupied servers will auto-destruct after 5 minutes
  
• Players are limited to launching 1 server at a time
  
• Adjusted size and scaling of UI elements (specifically server browser and settings window)

Even though this update does not directly impact the gameplay, it will however allow for easier future additions of features like player achievements, stats, lobbies, direct Steam invites (inviting friends to a server you're on), and other cool Steam features.
