Celestia's Gifts, random recipes

I've got all of the strangelings out of Ginormosia. Do the Celestia's Gifts have any use outside of Marco's shop? Also, does the game provide any way to track the recipes you can get out of the boxes and mysterious slates, or is that something I have to do on my own?

Celestial gifts are also used to unlock buddies power ups (aka souped up floors in special groves).

No, the game does not indicate if you’ve collected all the recipes out of the boxes (except for the makeover box for buddies) or slates. The only way is to checkmark them from the compendium google docs[docs.google.com].
