Does anyone know how to fix Unit Warping in this game? Is there like a patch that I need to download or something? Please let me know

In (pagan) mission 4 the unit warping got so severe that I had to use this tip to get rid of it. Unfortunately because of that the music stopped playing altogether, but I also noticed that the supply wagon is not replenishing ammo anymore, neither for archers nor mangonels. On win 7 64 bit i have really bad unit warping. Half the time my dudes just teleport.. anyone else have this problem? Or maybe know of a way to fix it?

I really liked this game 10 years ago so I decided to buy it. I got the patch for the unit warping issue or whatever, but now I get to the third level, "Angland Invaded!" and the peasants aren't able to drop food off at the village. They can farm and collect food but when they throw it into the village there is no change in the food at the village. It disappears. There is only one village in this scenario that allows farms...I guess that's game over :(...
