I'm curious about it, but.. If you could describe this game as if it was 3 other games combined, which 3 games would you say it's like?

So, Reputation is a cool system in most games, but I'd like to figure out how exactly can players raise their reputation with specific factions. lowering reputation is fairly simple enough, just go kill some guys in that faction, but I'd like to know how to raise faction reputation, if each of them have their own methods or if there's a global method...

Any ideas?

Didn't get it earlier because of the price, but now I'm fairly well off and itching to see what's down the acid sludge pipe after finding the slim fish . Are there alternative spots to buy it? Haven't seen it in any other shops yet
