My game progress won't save. Unlocking new monsters or progressing in story mode doesn't stick—everything resets when I exit. It’s like I’ve never played before. I’ve already validated the game files and reinstalled it, but the issue persists. Also, there’s no Steam Cloud option available in the game's properties....

The unit upgrade system is far too complicated, and some don't even work. Altars and high level units are also far too rare, and the "Player" gets ridiculously strong items far too easily.

I can't get past the second stage at all in story mode. Even if I randomize the maze till I have 23 tiles - with just the first four units, I can't build up anything that holds back the hero once he gets to level 7. He just one shots spiders and ghosts, and black widows and haunts don't hold out long enough (because I don't have many in the first place) The game needs to either be more forgiving, allow me to upgrade my units somehow instead of just having to hope I get upgraded units from the shop, or be ...
