The first room game, finally i found the time to play it. For many times in the past I have been told a great this game is and how well its crafted in terms for similar games of the genre. I never really found the time to play it despite wanting and owning all four games of the series. So the room orginated in the IOS store many many years back and than got a rerelease on PC with improved visuals and grafics. For the age of more than ten years it still felt quite modern and looked beautifull. Even though i do not care about graphics at all.

The room is more or less a simple puzzle game. Most riddles are clear on what they want you to do and in the rare cases you could technically work on others the blocked of thos areas with instant warnings like: "I dont think I should start here" or something like this. This makes the player relativly restricted within what can be discovered and therefore present a almost linear progression. Each chapter hereby is represented as layer of the box. Each time you solve a layer an new one appears. Funny that the box grews in size everytime. The majority of the riddle are rather simple. I got myself stuck a couple of times this being reasoned by me being tired and worn off therefore lacking enough patience and bringing me more on the edge of willingness when it come to using the help button. Other than that there is nothing to complain about. I found controls to wanky at times. Especially the camera could have used less restrictions in some riddles or layers. Nothing to annoying however.

One thing to know atleast is that the original release had less content. The final chapter was not included within its original release and without it the first "ending" would lack in satisfaction. Which gladly it had. I am looking forward to the other Room Games hopefully awaiting the continuation of the simple plot and of course to more riddle bigger and better in size and terms of difficulty.

It's not offensively bad or anything, I just don't get enough satisfaction from seeing things click and move after doing arbitrary ♥♥♥♥. I got stuck a couple itmes, and by the end when a new puzzle was revealed I was more annoyed than satisfied, because I just wanted it to be over. It just wasn't fun.
