I was pretty lukewarm on Rune Factory 4 and 5 but I had a fantastic time with Guardians of Azuma! The big selling point for me was the characters, with their pleasing visual styles, charming events, and excellent voice acting. I really like the addition of being able to spend time doing activities with characters as an alternative to the usual gifting them things, and would love to see something similar in future cozy-games. (Though it does feel weird that gifting *also* spends time)

The combat feels really good, but is definitely on the easy side. I played on normal and kept my gear relatively updated, and this was enough to breeze through the game. RP management is also very easy this time around since it's no longer required for crafting and farming, but I think I prefer it this way over endless trips to the bathhouse.

The game does run out of steam a bit once you complete the story and have decorated to your hearts content- money comes pretty easy and there aren't a lot of expensive things to chase- but I got a solid 100+ hours and had a great time chasing all the achievements.

I recommend the game I love it and enjoyed very much!

However, Marvelous please add back the dungeon seeds! The weakness this game has is its post game content. There aren't many dungeons or challenges post game just one. While with the dungeon seed we can use it post game to get AI generated dungeons which difficulty can scale depending on the degree of health or strengths of the dungeon plant.

This is what made Rune Factory 4 being able to be play consistently.
