Update 1.1

It's been a few weeks since Yawnoc released and there's been a lot of useful feedback to work off of. The result of that is Update 1.1, which focuses primarily of quality of life improvements. There's also some new content thrown in for the fun of it. :)

New:

Added Mire weapon (shotgun-style)
Added Ember weapon (bow-style)
Added Compass upgrade that expands the minimap
Added Storage upgrade that allows chest powerups to be stored until the next attack
Added Cheer enchant that increases the firerate of other weapons
Added markers to the edge of the minimap to indicate the direction of spawners/beacons/chests that are outside of the local minimap
Added a single alternate item shop with 40% increased prices to every shopping phase
Added controller d-pad support for menus
Added options to adjust grass/tree visibility and motion
Added an option to duplicate ability cooldowns below the player for better visibility
Added more window dimension options for larger displays
Added standard video setting test/confirmation process

Changes:

Scrap now auto-collects upon wave completion
Increased Bow penetration to 1
Increased Winter's Breath's Freeze ability cooldown to 28s
Decreased machine spawn count scaling from wave progression
Decreased machine spawn count in the winter area
Buffed shadow miniboss health
Shadow minibosses now fade trees similar to the player for visibility
Bullet silhouettes and centipede heads are now visible through trees
Enemy projectiles that have bounces remaining now appear purple
Chests now appear as orange on the minimap to distinguish them from beacons and spawners
Miasma now clears immediately after wave completion
Updated the rolling sound effect
Reduced volume of the Machine Event transition sound effect
Solid terrain is now visible immediately upon entering Machine Events
Potions can no longer be purchased at full health
Slightly decreased the base potion frequency in shops
Potions are now 50% more common on the Pest Control difficulty
Bomb markers from Volcano machines are now black instead of red in the autumn area
Split video settings into video and graphics options
Added more walls to the winter map with the lake
Added more walls to the wide-open void map with exception to the version used for the final boss

Fixes:

Fixed a black/yellow outline visual artifact bug that occurred on some AMD devices
Fixed a grass masking bug that occurred on some Intel devices
Fixed a hang that could occur when triggering the Buggy enchant
Chests and stumps no longer self-destruct early when only centipedes remain
Logs no longer appear as red on the minimap during the HighLife Machine Event
Fixed a ghosted machine (autumn-only) visual bug during the Brian's Migraine Machine Event
Fixed a bug that made the Upgrade Hunter and Completionist achievements inaccessible

Thanks for playing Yawnoc! If you're reporting a crash, there should be a crash_report.json file in the game's folder. Please post that file.

Mod support

Is there or will there ever be even a basic suppot for mods? The executable contains all the scripts so there is no easy way to add scripts to it without asking the user to "recompile" with the addons they want, so other than changing assets there really isn't much that can be changed easily (at least that's what it looks like to me)...

Steam Deck and MacOS Support Status

Yawnoc runs well on Steam Deck. The only known issue is that the controller input in desktop mode doesn't work. As long as the Steam Deck is in game mode, Yawnoc runs fine. (It's actually how I prefer to play Yawnoc.)

MacOS is not currently supported, but the game may function with Wine or by running the source code that's included along with the game. There are a fair number of wishlisters who are using MacOS, so support may be added after release.

Camera too jittery

The camera jitters A LOT, especially when doing slower motions, making me motion sick. Please smooth out the camera or find an alternative solution as I, and potentially others with similar issues, can not play the game otherwise :(

4x4 diagonal shooters easy endless farming?

Any thoughts on that? It feels simple enough to be intended but feels odd. Maybe some rule to determine how much each revived tile drops or something? Its neat but it does kinda break the pace.
