Game looks fun, but I cannot play this game with my friends. When I host, the is no HUD and I can only look around by holding the LMB, nothing pops up when I search open lobbies and Session ID doesn't work. Changing my settings doesn't save between game sessions, and doesn't seem to have any visual impact (setting the resolution from 800x640 or 3840x 2160 made no difference)

All the suggestions I could find online say are to restart steam and my computer. Did that and it changed nothing.

I ran the game as administrator, which finally gave me a HUD and saved my settings though still nothing changed visually, and friends still cannot join and I still cannot see open lobbies.

I ran solo long enough to get down to a planet and died, which isn't an issue I was just testing to see if the game would even run. It's just all the multiplayer parts that are broken, which was the entire point of the purchase.

Edit: Finally got it to work by turning my firewall off.

Played for 3 days on the ocean world. Had a team wipe on the last day, unless I misunderstand how insurance works, the contract was up but we had 0 scrap in the lockers. It showed 470/160 on the computer but we had nothing, so we had to finalize the contract with 0 scrap so we died. I understand 'git gud' but shouldn't insurance have saved us at least 60 scrap?

Love playing this game with friends. The maps and monsters are fun, lots of side features to collect and complete, and the frequent updates keep it fresh.
