Seriously though Six Legends is really REALLY good. A really nice combination of VN and cute minigames. Luckily the minigames add to the experience, instead of taking away from it. Each character has their own gimmick that's really fun to discover, and blends well with the character themselves. The player character is also really charming, and it often feels like your decisions really do impact the game, from minute to important ways. Especially during a sale, this game is more than worth picking up.

I was hesitant about getting this one, and that was a mistake, because it's a genuinely great VN. The cast of lovable characters is its strongest suit for sure. Foam is going to be a fan favorite, and for good reason - I love him too. But I was surprised by how much I also connected with some of the other characters like Blythe and Krock. Blythe might even be my favorite of the bunch!

The story can be hilarious when it wants to be (the black knight's arc was gold). But at the game's core is a collection of heartfelt and thoughtful messages on topics like finding your place of belonging in the world, and leaving behind harmful traditions. There are some downright moving scenes between the characters in here, and while the writing has some issues to it, the overall pacing and storytelling are great. Minigames help to add a bit of variety to the gameplay too. Just be careful when selecting the highest difficulty - it's not lying when it says hard!

This is on the more linear side of story games, which is fine. At around 8 hours a playthrough, the game doesn't drag on at all (pun intended). It sure didn't feel that long either, because once I started I just couldn't put this one down. Six Legends is a bold title to use, but with this group of characters I think we can let it slide. One of the best dragon VNs.

Six young dragons go on journeys of self-discovery where to find their answers they have to question not just themselves, but also the world around them. The character work and story are extremely good and you'll learn to love each of the cast as the layers of their personalities are revealed. The mini games are fun and help keep the variety up and as a game developed by one person everything is hand crafted and you can feel the care that's been put into it. Very recommended.

Also: I would do crimes for Foam.
