is there any secret weapon a la ender's game that obliterates enemies if they are together? because i fight against one enemy, ok, against two or three ok, but when there are dozens of enemies and they all have race stats (no wandering enemies) it starts to get a bit...overwhelming and boring if on top of that you add the fact that they seem to have infinite energy and i do not see how to combat them in a sustainable way, even if i kill one, another one appears, and for each credit i gain, i lose two to ...

I start to play and I finish first sector at level 12 the game says, if you want an easy game pick a lower starting level for enemies than your level, oh, nice i pick level 10 to start a new sector, the sector selector says that that is between "normal" and "easy" i start the game in that sector and 3 minutes later, a boss ship level 14 appears and kills me 17 times in a row, she is fast as hell, has the life of a planet (other empire ships do nothing to it) and no matter what i do hunts me and can two ...

okay so here's the thing. im one of those people who would prefer to host the server myself but i can never seem to get it to work. i have no problem setting up port forwardind but i fear that the guides are outdated and even when the game was new ithey never worked. and there has never been any new discussion either. and i suspect that this is half the reason why multiplayer was never popular as i suspect many are probably simply unable to host servers at all. really bothersome to see that the only thing ...

What's the take on this? Do you form an alliance with a powerful race or go solo and just run quests at first and see how it plays out? I've allied early with a race that looked to be doing well and now they're suddenly getting wrecked and I'm basically allied with a race that's getting wiped and now I'm at war with the side doing the wiping....
