I want to recommend the game… but after five hours, the grind on this is just frustrating which kills the fun. The game is a cool idea and priced well but just not well balanced.
-Probably 50-70% of your time is spent opening containers praying for the RNG gods to shine on you, and they rarely do. There is no added value in waiting for a container to open, the devs should just eliminate the timer all together.
-Dropping random stuff on death would be fine… if you didn’t grind for 3-4hrs to make just one of those lost items.
-When a player breaks down and disables the drop items on death option and proceeds to die on a mission, everything gained during the mission is lost. This would be fine if you didn’t get hit with two other penalties (1) you lose the token you use to gain entry to the map, AND (2) anything you put in the storage crate (which is supposed to be preserved upon death) is also lost.
-Speed up the animations for when you’re using medical items. For example if the first boss hits you and breaks your leg, he’ll hit you two more times before you can use a kit to fix your leg…
I know the typical response is “get good”, but why would you spend time to get good on something that isn't fun. This is a frustrating grind.

A friend bought me this and was like "it was only $5, try it" and I've been HOOKED. I typically don't like extraction-style games, but this one is fun and addicting, and the progression feels rewarding. I like that you can sort of take the game at your own pace, and only do the harder missions once you feel ready to, whenever that may be for you.

It's kinda wild how much this solo dev has accomplished with this game. Really nice work!

A few suggestions, if you're willing to accept them!

-Loot areas/boxes should have an outline/highlight when you target them (like when the yellow words show), to help differentiate which containers can be looted and help with targeting. Would be even cooler if the outline went yellow/grey like the text does depending on if its looted already or not.
-More music, if possible? :D
-Although the "right-click crafting resources to highlight them" feature is really handy, I think it might be better if crafting resources were just labeled that, then sell-only items could just say "junk" on the tooltip or something. It's also a little un-intuitive to have to go through and right-click every crafting item to track it so you dont sell useful stuff, but I suppose you only have to do it once, so it's not too bad!
-Could the "safe box" (the one that persists through character deaths) just be integrated into the inventory UI? It's fine if you subtract the same number of inventory slots to make up for it, but it'd be nice to have it all in one window, rather than having to open a separate bag for it (since it is persistent anyway, unlike other bags).
-Can we have a way to split stacks of items? Maybe there is one, but I couldn't figure it out lol

OVERALL RATING: 8/10

In my first 5 hours I haven't died once, even on Veteran difficulty. That being said, I have been eating bullets like a mad man and I almost died once or twice from zombies. Last night I managed to play a harder difficulty map, and decided I shouldn't waste the trip so I visited the special factory building. I met the boss, I ran from the boss. OKAY, looks like I'm going to the school instead. I clear the bathroom and get the guns, I get to the main office, I get the guns and start putting them away. *SURPRISE!* The boss is late to school, but he made it! I actually ended up winning the fight, it wasn't easy. I dumped like 4x30 round mags of 5.56 into him. I walked away with only 6HP remaining, and a broken bone.

It's a pretty fun game honestly, it's arcadey, easy to learn, and the adventures still manage to be memorable. I just wish it had controller support, it'd be such a cool game to play on the deck if it had proper controls.
