Highly unrealistic game mechanics alas .
Capital ships getting sunk by fighters , heavy tanks destroyed by MG or 20mm armed vehicles , planes staying in the same hex without using fuel etc ...
There is far better games from Matrix Games if you're looking for more realistic stuff check their website , for example some Gary Grigsby game :)

Panzer Corps Gold review

I'm not super knowledgeable about war gaming overall so I won't go into too much depth. I just want to say that this is a good TBS-game that I would like to recommend to anyone interested in turn-based strategy that takes place during WW2. There are dozens of campaigns here if you bought DLC as well, with thousands of units, I'd imagine one can play this for 1,000 hours and not be finished with it yet.

Just know that aside from tutorial campaigns... the difficulty is real and the game expects you to gnash your teeth in failure many times before you find a strategy that works. Yes, this is a challenging game but also rewarding.

Sound is fine but doesn't have many sound effects... there are enough though. There is also music but it consists of maybe 2-3 tracks so I recommend muting it and listening to what you want from Youtube.

Graphics are nothing special but are decent enough and for the most part there are no readabiltiy-issues.

Best of all is the nice grognard feeling you get from playing this in your recliner. It is a game that truly rewards strategic thinking. Definitely recommend this if you like strategic challenge and TBS.
