NEWBIE HERE WITH EXPANSION DRAFT QUESTION

I was wondering how to do an expansion draft? I started with career mode went into expansion draft and picked eight teams along with minor league teams I downloaded off the community rosters to bring the total to 40 teams. It lists all the teams for 2023/24 expansion and lets me edit the league configuration where I placed those teams within the different divisions but there is no way to save the league? I can only back all the way out and I lost all my progress? I am confused on how this process works. ...
