Hi guys, is anyone still alive in these lands? I'd like to know what the best weapon is for each character, including the DLC area weapons, since I'm currently in New Game Plus, But I still don't know which one is the best.

I was once able to unlock all of the four party members while avoiding unnecessary fights. Once I unlocked Lance, I proceeded to kill all the enemies that I had previously ignored. However, I am now on a new save and Mighty Oak feels a lot harder to beat than before. I was just wondering if defeating enemies before the other party members are unlocked causes them to lose out on exp, or if they get the exp either way.
