Nope, it's a second character, I wonder if its because of an old account or something.

If you had run out of character slots, you wouldn't have gotten that far, so that shouldn't be it. Also all accounts come with at least two char slots.

There's no error message I guess, because most likely reason for char creation to not go through is a duplicate nickname. but that should result in a popup telling you that. Just to be sure the field around your character name has a green border and not red?

In any case, if you still can't get it to work, please open a support ticker here with the name of an existing char on your account and the name of the char you tried to make and we'll investigate what went wrong: https://villagersandheroes.com/support/
