I would suggest checking which server you logged into. It often happens that players who have not played for a while are automatically logged on to what is currently the default server, which may well not be the same server that they started on. I would suggest logging in and switching between the servers to find your character.

Well, thanks but.. yeah, i did check on all of them.
Same result: character creation.

Used to play from here and from mobile, checked on both with the same result, and yeah the account existed, just not the character.

How often where you logging in somebody here said inactive accounts got deleted when starfall came out whatever that is, I guess and xpac.

it was quite a long while ago, the thing is i didn't even get a notification about that.
consider the thread closed unless you guys want to use it for similar issues. not even going to bother, i have other games to play if i want.

Also, what about users who had purchases linked to their characters? because i know some got linked to the character you bought it for, at least back then.

I havnt played sense 2019. gonna download it to see if my characters are gone. I put in a lot of time back in the day and invested a lot of money too. If they are gone then thats a 100% reason to never return.

Yeah this is dead. Character is still there but all my items are gone heh. My bank and backpack are completely empty. I have a few items that I payed for with cash but 90% of that is gone too. I dont know if they were obselete items that dont work anymore or what, but all my items and cash items are gone except a few cogs.

yeah, that's why i'm not coming back to it at all, can't trust games that act like that, specially with purchases and 0 compensation

Starfall completely revised the gear system, so all old gear became obsolete. It was so long ago I do not remember the details, but there was a system whereby characters received effectively a currency to obtain new gear. There was a sliding scale based on level and time since last played connected to the deal. Only accounts which had no chars above level 5 got nothing at all, but you had to claim the new gear within something like a six month period as I remember. Either way, it was several years ago. Multiple warnings were posted here and on the official forums at the time.

Some purchased items may have disappeared, but only because they were now redundant. Again, all players who logged in within the time frame to get new gear also received a number of items such as sockets. The compensation supplied at the time was extremely generous, but it was more than 5 years ago, if I remember correctly.

I can come back to everquest or Uo or about any other game after 20 years of not playing and dont have to worry about things i may have purchased being gone. Either way It's a game I would never touch again. Like I said, If I decide not to play other mmos in a few years because of boredom or what ever reason, I can comfortably come back at anytime.

Again, they took the money from the bank, right? so just taking away what you purchase is a no-no. Or were they going to refund the money if unclaimed after 6 months or whatever the time frame was for it? no, right?
So here's my advice: Stay away from companies that do that.

Doesn't matter if it's a 0.01€ purchase or a 10.000€ one. If they do it once, they do it twice.

i havent login in a quite some time and when i do my char is gone with all my ♥♥♥♥ i checked the other sever nothing ... so fk this game

This is the first game I've come across that deletes characters from Inactivity. And I've played a lot of MMO's over the years. I've come back to any of those after years of inactivity to still find characters and equipment.

Honestly, you should have kept the character(s) locked and allowed them to get all the stuff done when next they logged in.

Actions like this is a good way to kill off your player base. We all saw what happened with Concord. 8 years in development, costing $100m, only sold 25k copies, and peaked at 700 players. And then shut down 2 weeks later.

This is pretty much why I've decided not to come back. I logged into my account and had to create a brand new character today. Clearly, it was the right account since it had a decent number of crowns on it, but none of the characters or anything else. 100% sure that the characters were also not low level, but I don't remember my characters' names at this point anyway.

More money/time for other games I guess.
