Let me break down a few of the types of negative reviews you're going to find here:

1. Gacha bad - Ultimately, this is gonna be the thing that turns most people away. If you hate gacha games, then yeah, this one's probably not for you, but I'll say this much: From the time I've played, I've found the game to be pretty generous, all things considered. The rewards are pretty good, the rates are decent, and they don't even really demand you play daily for the full rewards like most gacha games do--the most you'll miss out on is a little bit of battle pass EXP, but it can be easily maxed out from just weekly play regardless. If you can stomach a live service format with gacha mechanics, I think it's truly not as bad as some people make it out to be.
2. Getting bullied by Chinese players - I have to ask: Are you really being targeted for being the odd one out, or are you just being targeted out of convenience? End of the day, in PVP it's every man for themselves, and players are generally gonna do what they gotta do to further their own goals--and that includes picking on the guy that's already down to suck up some free coins. I won't deny that there may be cases where it's genuine targeting, but I would say to never attribute to malice what you can just as easily attribute to... people just playing their game. (And hell, when all else fails you can still fall back on the coop mode, where everyone is forced to play nice and work together).
3. Criticizing certain game elements that differ from OJ - Specifically, I see a lot of mixed opinions on not being able to counter attack and evasion taking priority over attack values (meaning, the defender gets to roll to evade before the attacker's stats get added to their attack roll). Let's address the latter first: If it wasn't this way, then evading would be near useless. There is no evasion stat, there are no Suguris rocking +2 evade--if someone pulled up with with their attack up G and base 2 attack, there would be sweet FA you could do about it. As stands, it's a fun little risk reward--you can always try to evade and be rewarded, but if you fail, you'll still be hit with the full brunt of their attack (and if they used a card beforehand, you won't even know the full extent of their roll until after you've made your choice, adding another layer of complexity to combats). I also see some criticism around always succeeding evasion on a 6 or generally just being able to get lucky on evasion and hold out at very low HP, but especially with how many ways there are to get KO'd outside of combat, I like that it's difficult to put somebody down within it. As for the former: We do have a counterattacking system--it's called catching back up to your attacker and fighting back. In this game, you don't stop moving when challenging someone like in OJ--you brush past them. If they're going the same direction you are, they're going to swing back anyway if they catch up (not to mention if they land on an assault panel or otherwise use a card to reach you). Adding a counterattack phase within every fight would just complicate this formula; not everything needs to be like OJ--I think this system works just fine.
4. Blatant misinformation - Yes, you can absolutely start a game with AI, contrary to too damn many reviews I still see. If you have 2+ players, starting the game will fill the rest of the slots with AI, and you'll receive full rewards. If you start the game with only yourself and 3 AI, you'll receive no rewards--whether or not this is a big problem is up to you, but ultimately, they want you to be playing with other players, so I get it. It's not like you'll be struggling to find players anyway--the active player base is fairly impressive.

Ultimately, I could go on and on about why it's a crime Astral Party has received the negative reception it has--the character designs, the fun animations, the addicting coop mode with power-ups changing up every run, the love the devs clearly put into it and the effort they go to to fix any problems that arise and make the game the best it can be with fun events and fairly frequent character releases--but I think this yap session has made 99% of readers scroll past already, so I'll leave you with this: Take the negativity with a grain of salt, and just give the game a try for yourself. It's free, it's easy enough to pick up, and it's a pretty good time. And if you end up enjoying it, leave a positive review--the devs deserve some love for this little diamond in the rough.

This game could be better if they have a better graphic settings so I can adjust it for my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ laptop. The daily mechanics are long and should be less time consuming. The grind for the special skins looks harder than doing 9/5 for McDonalds just to get the skins.

I love this game! but I feel like there could be a ranked system where 2 players work together and fight another team of 2, could even have a tournament scene for this game honestly!
