This game can be fun, but most of the time it is an absolute mess. The battle phase is almost meaningless with most characters because of the dodge system without the ability to counterattack. Most events so far have been either boring or lazy. It's an absolute snooze fest. What's even worse is that most of the time random hosts simply kick you out of the room for no reason. so you can't even play the events on your own most of the time.
 
The characters are completely unbalanced. At this moment, there are 16 characters in the game, and there's no in-between. Only 4 characters are completely broken with their skills and passives, and the rest of the cast is complete garbage. I even waited for their first character balance update for 1 character, and... it's honestly a complete joke.
 
If my friend didn't play the game, I would have left a long time ago. But one thing is for sure: I don't advise spending money on this game. I won't because my favorite characters are trash, and I don't even use them anymore because it's not fun to play with them.

Fun with friends - no singleplayer.

Hard to compare games but it 100% plays like orange juice (no pun intended). You have cards, your dice, skills, etc. You know the drill.

Fun just like orange juice - Got some upgrades as well, graphics are nice, characters are thirst traps but overall well designed and each one has unique skills that differ on the way you play with them, I like the gacha system but only because I'm familiar with it, otherwise feels predatory to the player. Has a season pass too, somehow.

Downsides? In my opinion feels less chaotic than an orange juice game, I don't know if it was the pacing, or the fact the maps are reduced or at least the ones I played were, but even with 4 players the game felt like nothing were happening, even though there were events and fights indeed, but it's just my opinion.

An orange juice game would have 20 chickens trying to kill my friends while they lose all their stars to bad movements or other player traps while they die of laughter. Not that my friends and I didn't die of laughter in Astral Party too, just felt a bit more relaxed to my liking. Games are a bit shorter too but depending on your settings, don't mind this too much.

For my final verdict: I enjoyed the game but it was hard to stop comparing it to orange juice and just enjoy it to the fullest for what it is, since orange juice was my first experience at this type of anime e-board games I found it difficult at first.
If you can keep yourself detached from comparing games, and just get a fun session going on with your pals you should be good, I mean the game is free. Don't take reviews at heart, it's still a fun experience.
