Great game, but its a real shame that they just resell it without fixing the bugs that were later introduced!
Without fanpatches / edits you will have serious Problems attracting the cooler creatures (mainly my favourite since 1999: the black knight )

A true classic, and has held up quite well over time.

The campaign can be a bit on the easy side at times, but it will still challenge you on occasion. My only real critique is that the end of each mission can feel a bit anticlimactic. You spend usually an hour+ building your dungeon, training up your troops, and crushing invading heroes. Then at the end, your army swarms over the boss hero and kills him in about 10 seconds. Only in a few missions did I have to use any real tactics to win, and the winning tactic is usually: lure the boss hero onto friendly territory, then stun-lock him with the lightning spell while your minions take free shots.

Still, the rest of the game is so enjoyable that I can easily overlook the anticlimactic endings of each mission. Surveying the landscape and determining the best layout for your dungeon; building traps to shore up your defenses; training your troops and then pushing out to take over more territory. It's very well done, and I enjoyed every minute of the campaign.
