I can't with this game. So many little things make this game so awful to play and experience.

As a broad overview it's alright, I don't hate it. I do hate the story though, but that can be skipped so I couldn't care for or against it. I wish they made the AI smarter instead of having them rush the player at every single encounter. I wish they made SMGs and PDWs actually useful, because they simply aren't. They dump ammo so quickly at once, and do so little damage, that they aren't worth using even in the simplest of encounters. And spray and pray with them doesn't do much. I wish you got more money per mission so that even if I wanted to invest in making an SMG slightly less ♥♥♥♥ I could without worrying about dumping cash into a ♥♥♥♥ gun.

I do like this game's combat, it's great when it works. But making it work is a challenge. As at times the AI just kinda snaps to you and blasts you before you can do anything. And switching between items just takes too long. If you halved the speed it takes to equip something it would so much more enjoyable to interact and quickly set up traps or ambush. I keep trying to use nades on big groups and almost always get caught and killed because they spontaneously decided to rush my ass as I fumble to get my gun out in time. Not so fun.

Now, I hate, I mean hate; full of seething rage toward the menus that pop up when in game. Bodies and items have filled the map, I'm trying to open something, steal something, use something. I press E quickly and whatever I'm doing has a 1/3rd chance at actually working. Then later dying as a result of it as I fumble to grab something to protect myself from these lobotomites. Lastly, the pop ups cover the screen; eating up space when I just want to look around or shoot something. I've died a number of times because of this as I couldn't see them because of these pop up menus. Why isn't there a button to highlight items? Why can't I chose if I want to see what's on the floor or not? I hate MADNESS: Project Nexus 2 and what they did to their game, but they at least had that function and it works so damn good.

Finally the last thing I absolutely hate, people get shot, keel over, then get back up and start shooting you again. I hate this, it in fact makes playing at a harder difficulty easier because they don't do that; they stay down, or you could customize it out. Which you can customize it out why complain? Because if you're a first time player why would you customize any part of the difficulty? You're new, you don't know what you hate or not, so you're probably going to pick something that isn't insanely hard. You're then greeted with people that rise from the dead and blast you or waste even more of your precious ammo. And when you're in a chaotic environment it becomes real clear that this isn't fun and rage quit as you swear your bullets are only causing them emotional damage.

Which are what the SMGs and PDWs are; emotional trauma for everyone involved.

[Edit] You can't customize if people die in one shot or not, that was only in the demo. Can you please bring that back? That made the game so much better.

I love how all the negative reviews for this game are "boo hoo stealth game has stealth" like ???
