A few questions about this game before I buy.
Is it a metroidvania? How many upgrades and powers do you actually find? Is there also health upgrades and things like that?

How long is it? Thank you.

I wouldn't say it's metroidvania because it's linear and there's no backtracking although you might need to replay levels if you missed some powerups/sigils. It's more like Castlevania I /II if memory serves me correct. It is very frustrating at some points and I can't imagine playing it without a gamepad. Knockback damage: No one asked for this. -_-

There are health and weapon upgrades and the legnth of it depends on your level of skill. It took me an hour to get through the laboratory alone buti it's my first time playing the genre since the SNES. I'm glad I picked this game to get back into it though because the story is different and I find the artwork charming.

It's only $3 and well worth it (Hell, I'd pay $10 for it). I'd say go for it UNLESS you get frustrated with games easily.I find learning the patterns and feeling my skills increase with each level I beat pretty satisfying.

As for powerups, there's 6 skills total, 3 in human 3 in wolf and they can be level up to 3 and there's also 4 different attack upgrades. Almost all of them are in hidden areas so you'll have to keep on eye out for tale-tell fireflies and runs into the walls to find the secrets.

There's 11 levels and 5 boss stages.

its more like the old school castlevania combined with super meat boy. It starts out as a simple platformer castlevania style then they start throwing insane lvls where u constantly have 2 jump thru insane areas smb style. its fun but can be extremly annoying on the smb style lvls however.

If you like a challange, go right ahead. If you don't, stay away. If you can get to the end of the second level, you probably have the determination to get through the rest of the game. :sigil:
