"Starting off on the right foot"
For some reason I can't compete the achievement where you're supposed to go through the tutorial level without killing anyone. I've played through it multiple times now. The first time I killed one guy, so it makes sense I didn't get it, but the other times I have used only my crossbow (when you learn about how to use cover), my stun-gun and non-lethal takedowns.

If anyone has any idea why I can't get my achievement, please tell me :)

I got the same problem, super annoying to not get that achievement...why does this kind of achievement so frequently bug out in Deus Ex games? Got the same problem in "The Missing Link".

There doesn't seem to be any people to answer us around here, this game has a too small playerbase... :(

I just tried it again, it's useless. I will try it one more time without the crosshow, maybe that thing is bugged or whatever.

But without the crossbow, you won't make it through the cover tutorial though...? You will need a weapon there, and the crossbow is the only non-lethal option there

The first three don't count as you don't have a choice there and you also cannot save at this position or change/edit weapons at all.

I just went through the rest with normal takedowns only, didn't change a thing, I still didn't get the achievement.

Hmm... When you played through the prologue for the very first time, you killed, right? What if you have to go through the prologue on new game instead of new game+ to get the achievement? I haven't tried that, have you?

I have thought of that aswell, I haven't tried it yet and I don't know if I will to be honest. I got DX:HR on 100% and I am missing this one achievement in TML und TF because both are bugged...so annoying.

It is known that when you headshot somebody with the tranq arrow or even the stun gun, it's still a kill.

I got the achievement now, I really had to reset the complete progress in the Options menu. Very annoying - but on the bright side, it was my last missing achievement, so I don't have to play any more to get the others without funds, augmentations and items :D.

I know this is old but just in case anyone is having the issue still...
When shooting at the guards with the crossbow just shoot them anywhere EXCEPT the head, and non lethal takedowns work niceley too. You know you've succeeded if you get the achievement right when Kontarsky is shot, before the boat flashback.

This worked for me.
