Holy hell, I don't know where to start on this. This game is just (and I don't use this word often) abysmal. Honestly, for games like this, the most I'd usually give it is just a disappointed sigh as I uninstall it, but after reading the reviews and seeing the blatant ripoff of Fancy's Escape the Backrooms, I decided I really have to tell the developer (and any poor saps about to submit themselves to the torture that is playing this game), in detail, everything that makes this game horrendous.

1. Let's start with the stolen assets, shall we? While Lory Games may have bought the assets, making it not theft- It's still awful. I didn't download this just to see low-poly, awfully animated, horrendous versions of the models from one of my favorite games. And it's not just the creature models, either! Lori Games reused the menu layout, the loading screen, even the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ epilepsy warning at the start of the game. As if it was that difficult to go into a photo editor and type up your own basic Photosensitivity warning.

2. The gameplay. From a game like this, I at least expected it to make me laugh and have a good time with the glitches, but it couldn't even do that. every error and issue I encountered just annoyed me. The gameplay is slow and uninteresting, the "scares" are either the stolen assets or low-quality PNGs Lori got off of a google search, and the level layouts are boring at best.

3. The quality. The environment graphics are fantastic, but that single upside is tarnished by the rest of this dumpster fire. I couldn't even turn the sound on, because any sound from this game that entered my ears gave me a splitting headache. Every noise is a shrill, screechy abomination that makes you wonder if your speakers are water damaged. The creatures move with the smooth grace of a donkey that inhaled acid. The textures all seem to be below 130p. The walking speed is reminiscent of a certain snail, and the jump physics seems to imply gravity similar to the moon.

4. This may be a tad petty, but the grammar. Seriously, learn to structure your sentences.

Look, Lori Games. You have the potential to make a great game, dude. But instead of actually working on your game, you seem to think your time is better spent sobbing over negative reviews on Steam. You actually have made a game that I enjoyed quite a bit! Budget Backrooms was a great experience and I wish it was more, but you gave up on that so you could work on this. If you do respond to this, I would rather you put thought and care into your response, rather than the "womp womp" you plaster under other reviews.
