The original Lord of the Realms has no tactical vantage, it is you send x troops against a enemy and if you had more you win with rng deciding the losses. The video trailer shows you moving units in a tactical game, thats LotR 2 not the original. The original game was all strategic, except some events like dueling or fencing, or sieging... most of it is map strategy and a really small but at the time good attempt at politics. The other sequels to the game added tactical (barely) and castle build designs, ...

I remember being able to play on a map of Germany, but it is not included in the Steam version. Can someone tell me how to get hold of it please? (Or any other maps that may exist)

The game begins to open and plays the music. But I cant get to a game menu screen. I wonder if it didn't download correctly from Steam. Is there anyway to delete it and download it again?

Hej hej! Is this rerelease using DOSBox? If so, can you please add GNU/Linux and Mac OS X versions? Thanks.
