Either way, it's not automatic, when you have sorcerer assigned, you'll see a paper doll (shikigami) on top left of the screen in same area as tsuba guards. Once the doll is fully charged i think it becomes a bead and then you can select it with same key as you use to switch tsuba gears to release the attack, it one shots entire map of trash mobs and will take 3/4 to half health of any boss (especially if you use it when they're stunned).
The game really didn't say anything about it being manually activated, which is annoying, and I didn't even notice that shikigami charging in the corner while trying to figure it out. Really wish the game had a better tutorial for it, because the tutorial it **does** have seems to imply automatic activation (to me, at least)
Nonetheless, I looked for the paper doll in the corner and sure enough, there it was. Saw it fill up, tried activating it when it was full....AND IT ONE-SHOT KILLED THE CENTIPEDE ♥♥♥♥♥!!! (might not have if I didn't have the laterns lit, but I definitely still had time to hit her again if needed).
Now that I finally know how the sorcerer role works....all the other bosses are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ >:3
But thanks for the unnecessary hostility, I guess? Don't know why you two want to be blocked so desperately, but w/e.
So of course I don't even think of the possibility the one time I do :B
*edit* well, ok I HAVE had more than once where I needed to reread a tutorial...but it was always in games where that wasn't even an option without starting a whole new save file. Fortunately there's also usually a guide or something on gamefaqs I can refresh my memory with when needed. Usually. This game is too new and too niche to have any guides for this early. :<
This game has tutorial section in the pause menu, if you accidentally skip it or want to reread.
