Unique Dancing Sword action and strategy in a Japanese-inspired setting come together in Capcom's Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, launching on Steam on July 19.

Today, we're revealing the game's theme song "Kunitsu-Gami" sung by singer-songwriter ermhoi! We hope you enjoy listening to the theme in the latest trailer, which features a variety of brand new gameplay footage that we're showing for the first time.

We're also excited to announce that both Okami Collaboration campaign missions to commemorate the release of the demo version have been successfully completed! All players who purchase the full game will be able to receive the Okami collaboration items on July 19. If you haven't played the demo yet, we hope you give it a try!

An Okami collab campaign is also now live! In the spirit of Kunitsu-Gami's villager co-operation theme, demo players around the world must co-operate to complete two missions. Succeed, and all players will receive costumes based on Amaterasu and Waka from Okami, as well as unlocking collab soundtrack for the full game!

Incredibly shallow

I don't know if I'm missing pieces of gameplay from the demo but I don't see how this can be a interesting game. Melee combat while not horrible is also just spamming the right pre determined combo against the right ennemy. I'm not expecting Devil May Cry or Monster Hunter levels of combat but right now there just isn't much to it beyond spamming. The tower defense aspect is plain horrible. Why do I need my archers to be on a predetermined placement for them to have extra range ? Why don't they shoot fur...

This gameplay is just meh.

I feel like if this were a full-on action game like Actraiser, it would be sick. It feels very Orcs must die like. I've only done the first Village that you start out in and was not impressed by all the monotonous micro-managing. I also don't feel anything is particularly special about the Main Character. I just can't see this as a Day 1 for me....
