I've been playing for about a week and I keep being moved between turns. I can't pinpoint an exact cause, I'll be in the hallway at the end of a turn and by my next turn I'm in a room across the board. It's sometimes helpful and sometimes really frustrating not to be able to get to a room I need to guess. Any ideas?...

This isn't a game play suggestion, but it would be really neat to be able to walk around the game board in first person just for the fun of it - just the main level of course since any additional floors aren't part of the game anyway. From what I can see, everything seems to be already modelled anyway - even the ceiling (it's there at the beginning when the cards are shuffled and handed out as well as when the camera angle changes when you make a suggestion).
