Starting hand with 2 rooms and one suspect

At the beginning I had 2 rooms in my starting hand several times now. So there are more than the usual card combinations with one suspect, one weapon and one room. For example, in my last game: gatow, music room and a study room, but no weapon. I own the deluxe edition....

Which version to buy

Hello new here. Wanted to look for additional content, saw a few different versions but I got confused a little on which version should I get for the full experience. Crime Collection or Deluxe as it says in description it will have 8 upcoming expansions....

Mechanical variation from DLC content

I am considering buying the DLC aside from the tropical one. This is because the tropical one seems to just be cosmetic options, while the rest provide different maps and further characters to select. However, I am wondering if this is in the end ultimately just cosmetic. I don't know if the DLC provides the chance for more that 6 suspects (I am guessing not). This combined with the fact that regardless of actual player numbers, there will be 6 suspect options, tells me that the suspect list variable will ...
