its an early access game chill, we all knew the risks and took it and welp we at least got a walking simulator at least. even though i paid 10 bucks for it well it was somewhat worth it. i took the risk and im not happy but not mad either
i really do think they have the potential to flip it
but
its a lost cause
theres no money to be made anymore
the old devs already bled it and milked it dry
theres a small amount of devs working on it
and
they're working on other games and projects above all
from a buisness and common sense standpoint its not worth investing in something that won't make you money and actually make you lose money
all they had to do and can still do is implement rudementary modding tools that can jumpstart the community back
most modding/workshop implemented games on steam can and are still thriving
so long as modders exist and they get ideas
they can do wounders
but again sadly its a lost cause atm
its exactly this type of mentality that means companies are able to continue to deliberately be misleading in order to benefit financially, in any other sector this would be classed as fraud and its not at all acceptable just because its a game we are talking about, you my friend, have been suckered in by the corporate brainwashing if you genuinely think that because its an early access game, that its ok to do this to your customers
In terms of what we promised, the only thing we couldn't get to was mods. Certainly a larger item, but for everything else, we gave you guys and fulfilled our promises.
The problem here is not everyone looks at our announcements and posts. So, they assume we lied. But, we've been very clear and transparent the whole time about why it's been difficult to update the game, what we'd be updating, and what that meant for the game.
You can look back to last October's announcements to read all about it.
Thanks,
Phosphor
