To what? I good functional game? Then they better build a new game.

Sorry Fowl but the dev has moved on to other games, the team is gone and the company is .... to the best of my knowledge ... dead.

So unless somebody wants to throw $100k into a team to fix a POS almost game, it won't happen. And given there are decent 4x games on steam already, nobody in their right mind will put money into this.

Oh well. New Master of Orion and Civ VI will have to do!

The devs are making another game, and in that game they claim the "success" of this game. Don't expect an abandoned project to be updated.

Maybe it was a commercial success, the devs must have made some money :-)

under what circumstances would this be a good idea? get the hell away from this and don't come back and any update you want to this game the finished product would still be 10 times worse than at least 10 4x space games out there, so again why?

what are you doing in here? how about endless space 2 or dawn of andromeda?

Because I supported an early access title and would like to see that faith honoured. Not complicated.

I found the game to be mostly ok. I got enjoyment out of it, where are the sour grapes comign from? Sure it's not as complete, or feels as clomplete as some otehr games, but there are definitely worse games out there. Also a lot of players will view games not complete no matter how long development takes place. I play Civ 4 and it is still not as complete as I would want it to be, but that's life.

Because it crashes after 5 or 6 minutes. The graphical glitches are unforgivable. The mechanical glitches are gamebreaking. Start a game with knowledge of a star system and you will never be able to interact with that star system because it can't be unvieled to you. The whole game cost me £28 in early access. 2 weeks later (after steam refused me a refund despite it not working because of how much time (8hrs) I had spent trying to get it to work) it drops to about £3.50 because of how badly it was running. If I'd spent £3.50 I'd have no complaint. Having supported it in early access and defended the devs from attack at first, all I ask is they continue to suppoort this game with patches which will make the damn thing work. Sour graps come from me feeling my trust was betrayed

There will never be any update for this game. The guy running the dev studio made a new company and is peddling Dawn of Andromeda nowadays. http://store.steampowered.com/app/427570

I'm just waiting for dawn of andromeda to be another train wreck... but who knows.

Funnily enough, looks a little similar to the POS we're discussing now... what a complete ****tard!

At least the Steam community leaves me feeling warm and loved!

Funny thing is that Mike has claimed that Arkavi went out of money and had to...

http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/427570/discussions/0/412446292755964973/

As for LOTBS Arkavi ran out of money, and had to give up patching and start a new project to get funding or close doors. Most issues still present in the game were caused by the engine and were basically unfixeable. We were working on a new patch, but it turned out to cause more issues than solve, so we never released it.

(I know I'm not the only one to wince at some of the claims of Mike's in what is being worked on and whatever. It never excuses why they weren't able to inform anyone here.)

So when you run out of money = spacebase and run!

And that is why Valve tightened their rules and guidelines for the Early Access program.

So no money = starting up a new company with the same publisher? Yeah, I smell it too.

Oh, and how Mike portrays himself as "just one of the guys" instead of the CEO in charge of the company is kinda telling:

I completely understand your concerns, but like I said above, I was just one of the guys from Arkavi, this is a whole new company with completely different people, except for me.

He really is relying on the ignorance of so many gamers to flog this new offering... I for one will not be fooled, once was enough! There are so many inconsistencies and outright lies in his statements, I mean "Just one of the guys"... yet take a look at the LOTBS boards and you'll see him introduce himsef as "Lead developer, and CEO" etc... if not already deleted!
