A little heads up for Steamdeck users: The native version of the game as a subtle but persistent stutter. The Windows version running in proton is butter smooth in comparison. Basically, If you're having stutter, switch to Prorton in compatibility settings....

There are two full series of levels (outdoors and the isolation place), plus a lengthy cutscene, before we finally get to shoot anything. This is a good way to lose players. I wasn't a fan of the slide jump either. Just here to shoot robots thanks.

When I launch the game it hangs on a splash screen and will not start. Pressing Enter or Space bar on this screen crashes it back to desktop, but no amount of waiting will get past the splash screen. This actually doesn't bother me too much because I got this game to play on my Steam Deck and it happens to work perfectly on that, but I thought you'd like to know about this issue as I imagine it is affecting more people than just me. edit: Windows 10...

I'll be completely honest this jump mechanic is terrible even with a game controller. Too small places to jump. The game turns into a sprawl. I understand that double jumping would be much easier , and therefore shorter. But I haven't even finished the demo yet, because it's so bad and irritating. There are many platformers on the market but none of them have such overcomplicated controls. Where you don't enjoy the game but suffer with the controls....

This game seems to be trying to be a run and gun (but with tactical elements somehow?) Those 2 genres are completely at odds with each other, the game would feel a lot better if there was a button to lock you in place and let you aim (a trigger/bumper) and a way to move left and right but keep facing the same direction by strafing (a trigger/bumper) Later Contra games have this, and it really adds a lot to the gameplay The shooting actually feels quite satisfying I think the game has a lot of potential, b...
