Why? Please fix!

I love the style and gameplay so far. It's like a precision platformer had a baby with an infinite runner. But I noticed that when you pause, Cato goes into a like paw-licking animation, which is nice, but it stops your momentum and you have to build it up again. This makes it really punishing to pause in the middle of runs unless you just died. I think if you kept your speed while pausing that would make for more fluid gameplay when things like a kitten trying to climb up my leg pulls me away from the gam...

I think the only thing I'd like added in terms of gameplay clarity/qof is a better indication of if the cat is on the ground or still in the air because it can be difficult to tell, especially in a fast precision platformer like this. Or maybe have a separate button for air jump lol, but that'd be a bit weird....
