Are you sure that folder isn't set to read only by mistake? Have you got acs.exe and AssettoCorsa.exe set to run as admin? Cant think of anything alse at the mo..

Yep, that was the first thing i tried. I also gave everyone full permission on both the users\documents\asetto corsa and steamapps\common\asetto corsa folders.

I have the same problem. Allwoed access to all asetto corsa folders but its still not working. Can anyone pls help me? thx

Make sure the folder isn't set to read only. That's what fixed it for me.

Upgrade to Windows 10 does this, it changes user permissions so you don't have full admin rights any more. You'll have to change permissions on the file or rename and let AC create new one.

every time i try to lanunch my game this pops up, Error - Access to the path c:\users...documents\asseto corsa\cfg\assists.ini is denied, any suggestions?

Check AssettoCorsa.exe, acs.exe and acs_x86.exe is not blocked/quarantined by a security software like antivirus and whatnot
