A Message to Our Players

Seekers,

It is with a heavy heart that we share some difficult news with you today: Seekers of Skyveil will be shutting down on March 31, 2025 and with it, Elodie as a studio will also be closing its doors.

Elodie was founded in 2019 with a central set of tenets - that we design games that are social at the core, provide deep gameplay and replayability, and resonate with a global audience. Our journey started with an ambitious concept and a veteran team dedicated to making that experience reality. We undertook a major pivot almost 21 months ago, which ultimately evolved into the “MOBA meets extraction” experience you see today. Along the way, we became leaner and all the more determined to get to a launched game. There were moments where we almost didn’t make it, but thanks to the support of investors who believed in our vision, we were able to push forward and bring Seekers of Skyveil to life.

We are incredibly proud of what we created. Our goal was always to deliver something unique and worth experiencing. We believe we accomplished that. Despite the passion and long hours we poured into Seekers of Skyveil, we struggled to reach the critical mass of players needed to sustain it long-term. Without the necessary funding to continue development and marketing efforts, we have no choice but to bring this short journey to an end.

To those of you who ran missions to the Corrupted Forest in early Radiant Skies, became an extraction tester in Alpha and Beta, explored Skyveil during Next Fest, or supported us in Early Access - thank you. Your enthusiasm, feedback, and love for Seekers of Skyveil meant everything to us. We built this game for YOU, and we’re grateful you found us, took the time to step into it, and helped us improve it.

This isn’t the outcome we hoped for, but it doesn’t take away from what we were able to accomplish together. Thank you for being a part of our adventure.

FAQ

Q: I paid for Prismatic Auranite or DLC. Can I get a refund?
A: We will be removing the DLC from our Steam store page and have disabled in-game purchasing for Prismatic Auranite. We will also be working with Steam to make sure DLC and Prismatic Auranite purchases are refunded to you. If you do not see a refund post to your wallet or account after our closure, you can initiate a request through Steam using their support system at https://help.steampowered.com/en/.

Q: What regions will be available until the servers go offline?
A: All existing server locations will be available. This includes North America (Ohio), Europe (Frankfurt), South America (Brazil), and Asia (Singapore).

Q: Will we be able to launch the game after March 31, 2025?
A: Login and matching services will be disabled. You may be able to start the game client but will not be able to get into the lobby. Once we have shut down service, we will initiate a request to disable the capability for Steam users to add our game to their library. This will occur a few days after shut down, since the game app will need to be retired on the Steam store.

Q: Will we be able to do some cool things with the time we have left?
A: We will be opening up access to all Seekers until the service goes down, as well as granting all players the Elite Tier of the Veil’s Dawn Adventure Pass, 50k Auranite Essence, and 15k Prismatic Auranite. We hope that you’ll take the time left to have some fun with friends, play around with some cosmetics, take down the Heart of the Forest bosses, and get in your last expeditions to complete your stash.

[HOTFIX] HP Regen and Backpack Upgrades

Hey Seekers, we’ll be undergoing game maintenance tomorrow, March 19th, at 6:00 AM PST to squash a few bugs that came up in this week’s latest patch release. Downtime is expected to be around two hours, with servers expected to resume by 8:00 AM PST.

⭐️Hotfix - HP Regen

Turns out our bug fix for the HP regens made it a little too OP. We dialed the stats back to how they were prior to this week’s patch to give us more time to dig deeper into making HP Regen a valuable, but not completely essential, part of your Seeker toolkit.

⭐️Hotfix - Backpack Upgrade

We patched up the hole in the bottom of the backpacks that was causing some of your items to drop into your stash, instead of staying in your bag when you returned from the match.

⭐More backpack space and new stash size upgrades! 🛠

We listened, and it’s time–your backpack space and stash size have been expanded!

Stash and inventory management should feel meaningful and strategic. The thrill of extraction comes from being unsure if you’ll walk out with the items you’re jumping in with, and that level of risk and strategy should be represented even when you prioritize different items over another. While we're still prioritizing smart decision-making when decide to keep your ✨shinier✨ gems over a green gearset, this patch introduces inventory expansion options to help you continue leveling up your gear. 💎

With that, your starting backpack size has been increased, and our vendors are now selling some sweet stash size upgrades!

🎒 Backpacks
Your backpack now starts at 8 slots (previously 5). We think this is the sweet spot to keep your gear haul decisions strategic as you go around the map looting, but you’ll still have that extra space to bring some sellable treasures out with ya! 🪙
Gray backpacks have been removed from the store. They only really provided +1 extra slot of space, and we figured it made more sense to give you extra starting slots rather than purchasing a small upgrade
Each backpack upgrade gives you +2 extra inventory spaces, letting you cap out at a maximum of 18 backpack slots
💼 Stash size
You can now buy stash-size upgrades from our vendors! Each of our vendors sells a 15 slot upgrade at the Rare crafting tier, and an additional 20 slot upgrade when you reach the Epic crafting tier. In total, unlocking all of the stash upgrades from our vendors lands you 140 additional slots–granting you a total of 240 spots available when you max out your stash upgrades.

⭐New Seeker rotation!

As mentioned in our previous patch notes, we’re working fast with weekly patches and hotfixes coming your way. With our weekly patch cadence running this month, we decided to pair it up with more frequent, weekly Seeker rotation swaps to give you more opportunities to try out the rest of our roster, and to also keep the playing field fresh.

Here are the Seekers making their rotational debut this week:

We’ll be working with our weekly patch cadence for the rest of March and most of April, which means our Seeker rotations will only be on a temporary weekly schedule. Stay tuned for any new changes or updates to come!

⭐Seeker trial system 🛠

You can now trial a Seeker AND preview the cosmetics of a Seeker! 👀

In your Seeker select screen, for any locked Seeker, you can click on the “Try Seeker” button and it’ll launch you over to the New Player Realm. You’ll now be able to test out any Seeker of your choice before unlocking them with Auranite Essence! This is the only way you’ll be able to trial Seekers outside of the rotating roster, but hopefully, this will help you get a better feel of their kit before making the big unlock move.

Also, you can now check out the cosmetics of a Seeker before purchasing them! It’s important for you to feel good about making a purchase both before and after you spend, and having a preview of what you’re in for is an essential part of that process.

Veil’s Dawn Progression

Our first Adventure Pass, Veil’s Dawn, is now in full swing from our first major update last Friday! We ran into a bug over the weekend where certain tiers in our pass would not allow you to redeem the rewards with it, and we have a few quick fixes for you:

Unable to claim some of the free tiers? Completing and claiming any Veil’s Dawn quests will let you go back and claim the rewards from the tiers you were previously locked out of (ex. 10, 13, 19, etc).
We ran into a bug where Chapter 15 (Transmutation) of Veil’s Dawn did not track your resources purchases properly. This is now fixed–you should be able to complete this quest by converting lower tier resources into a higher tier at Bort, Mum’Shroom, or Taro! 🪙 (quest description to be updated to include Mum’Shroom and Taro)
Chapter 15 (Trace Amounts) is currently facing a bug where Uncommon+ chests are only advancing this quest, rather than all chests Uncommon+ and higher. A fix is currently in the works, but you should still be able to complete this quest by opening Uncommon+ chests.

Map updates

Unique/Boss Creatures’ Burst Abilities
Named creatures guarding the highest tier chests on each map use massive AoE burst abilities, which deal extra damage to Seekers below their CR requirement. We’ve reduced the range of these abilities by 50% to avoid catching players running away and to better match the burst VFX.
Burst AoE shockwaves are now always visible, even if the creature is hidden behind a wall or in brush
Fixed an issue where burst AoE abilities were damaging extractor pillars.
Creature Corner
Horned Marauders’ basic swipe attack now covers 75 degrees instead of 90 degrees in front
Adjusted targeting ranges for Treants and Marauders, so they get a little closer before attacking

Seeker Corner - Updates and Tuning

Zuraya

⭐Tempest - [RMB]
Increased Tempest range, her RMB reach didn’t feel the greatest so we upped the range on how far your strike hits by 9%

Rynn

Rynn’s kit got a slight rework to keep his abilities aligned with his role as a support tank for his team, receiving a few healthier tuning and balancing changes.

Annularity - [RMB]
Fixed an issue where his RMB did not apply the correct amount of healing as intended, so we went in to fix him up and scaled his healing percentages accordingly to let you heal properly
Pale Embrace - [Q]
Changed his Q’s Rank Up 3 (Movement speed) to always apply, becoming an active part of his kit. We’ve tuned the rest of this ability accordingly, so the zoom-zooms won’t be too powerful of a bonus to his kit ⚡
Decreased movement speed increase from 25% to 15%
Increased movement speed duration from 2 to 2.5 seconds
Decreased shield duration from 5 to 4 seconds
Decreased his shield’s recast time from 5 to 4 seconds
Changed his Q’s Rank Up 1 from +10% Health Scaling to double his base shield value to make his initial build feel more in line with a support, shield tank
Changed his Q’s Rank Up 2 from the previous ability duration increase to apply a 20% cooldown reduction instead
Changed his Q’s Rank Up 3 from movement speed to 10% Health Scaling

Seeker Bug Fixes

⭐Fixed a stuttering/rubberbanding bug with Strix’s spacebar
⭐Fixed a bug where Joon’s Ultimate would cancel and go into cooldown if it was casted immediately after his Dive
⭐Fixed a bug where Kumu would get stuck in his Charge ability that immobilized himself and other Seekers
Fixed a bug where Kumu’s RMB Rank Up 2 applied even with one rank-up point, rather than two
Fixed a bug where Kumu’s Ultimate Choice B would not cast the damage pulse consistently
Fixed a bug where Neri’s Healing Bloom would not cast properly

Bug Fixes

⭐Map pathways - added in some additional missing paths on the map - keep pointing these out as you find them!
Fixed a bug where health regens would only apply half of the healing amount
⭐Fixed a bug that caused Vault event keys to appear in unreachable areas and reenabled the event
⭐Fixed a bug where certain destructible objects in Blooming Grove were not breaking responsively
Fixed a bug that caused Storm’s Eye to have 8 keys instead of 7 in some scenarios
⭐Fixed a bug that blocked movement on the bridge between Lonely Oak Island and Pine Forest
Fixed a bug that caused the icon for Shadebough’s arrival to look like a Vault key

Early Access Review

The game was basically League of Legends but as an extraction game instead of a traditional MOBA which honestly hit a good sweet spot for me despite MOBAs not being my kind of game but really love how high stakes the game is in the PvP department. Unfortunately the game had zero marketing peaking only with less than 400 players in a market where MOBAs & even extraction type games are already oversaturated with too much competition and sadly game lasted for 4 weeks before devs pulled the plug 😔

aaand it's dead. Unplayable for anyone ever again. What happens after "we're ending support" matters, guys, "Game becomes brick" is not acceptable.

what if i tell you the real reason why your game fail is because of the name of the game? nobody remembers it or know how to pronounce it. if you just name it seekers people can spread the name of the game by word of mouth. blame the person who come up with such a LONG GAY NAME....

Game that looks dead on arrival

Its just another cartoony game, with goals that they will never achieve. At least looking at it, this is my first imprression, just another Battlerite, another Supervive... The list goes on.

i dont know if i should try it because it says 69 players on steam db and maybe it gets shutdown so ill lose the money and time i put into this game so i have the question is there just a different platform where theres more players or is this game just dead on arrival?...
