Latest update broke my game? [FIXED]

Really enjoying this game so far, much more than I was expecting. Sad to say my save file appears to be broken with the latest patch from today - this is all I get when I load my save file. What's going on? Did I lose all my progress? edit: Meltorefas (one of the devs) responded within minutes and pushed a hot fix out within an hour or so. Problem's completely fixed. These guys are awesome....

What's New?

CATCH is available! Last-hit a Wild Beast with a Catch Skill to add it to your party. Make sure you have room in your party for it to work.
The CODEX is now in the Menu, where you can access BOOK information and different Bestiaries to keep track of the Letalis you encounter and catch.
Armors and Helmets now have proper names.
All armors and helmets now come with skills.
New weapons added.
The Beast House in Ducca is open! Pay it a visit!
We've begun improving the dialogue system to support multiple languages.
Minor fixes based on community feedback have been implemented.
Fixed the bug causing the game to crash on a white screen after combat.

Known Issues

Windowed Mode Issue: Switching to Windowed mode causes the game to change the camera zoom.
Steam Deck Issue: Sidebar isn’t fully visible on the Steam Deck
Highland Ship Bug: Displays incorrect travel animations
Directional Bug: Player occasionally faces the wrong direction after entering a location
Transition Bug: When switching scenes, the player flashes one time in the dark during the transition
Transition Screen Issue: Screens turn white instead of black during transitions
Boulder Relocation: Boulders visibly move when exiting a location
Caps Malfunction: Limits for game time, crowns, and items are not working properly
Achievements and Medals: Some are still missing in the game, including the new Stonehead one (sorry)

I'm a bit confused, I've beaten an enemy wolf with my net's trap skill but I seem not to be able to capture it? Same with "match"

[request] Cloud saves

Please, implement Steam cloud saves whenever you have time :) Apart from forgetting about manual copies (I'm right now in the process of switching to a new gaming PC), it gives peace of mind to know you have a backup in Steam cloud. More bugs

So here's a short list of bugs I've come across (trying to be specific in order to be helpful!) 1. Talking to the old guy who fell down in High Hall after getting the cut ability freezes the game 2. I talked to the guy who wanted to rescue the people of Ducca from a vampire once in Ducca and then again in front of the castle in the graveyard and he said "HURRY UP AND MAKE SPACE FOR ME" but then he completely disappeared and I was unable to recruit him when I came back with space for him.
