This is a good game but it definitely isn’t going to be for every MV fan. If you value fluid platforming, fast pace movement and a lot of exploration, you should probably sit this one out.

The Good:
This game does a great job of making you feel strong with a lot of weight to your attacks. The enemy variety is vast and the boss designs are absolutely beautiful. Every area is visually great with the stellar pixel art and sound design.
Everything about this game visuals and combat I thought were very good.

The Not so good:
Like I said in the first paragraph, the platforming in this game feels very clunky, this is primary shown in the grappling hook. It sometimes feels like the game decides at random when to allow to grapple on to the rings. This also applies to the ledge climbing which I felt was also very random when it decides to work.
Another thing is with the boss fights. The boss fights, although stunning in appearance, are very easy only taking like 1-3 attempts on each fight. This could be because of my build so maybe they are harder if you opt for a less optimal build but it’s still worth mentioning.

Sequel to the old C64 classic.
This one is more in style of Castlevania, compared to the original, which played more like Ghost n Goblins.
Superb graphics and soundtrack. The whip has many fun uses and combat combinations.
The only thing lacking, is some polish in the controls, but you get used to them, and it gets better, when you get double jump and other moves.

It's neither a metroidvania (even though you can go back and search for more secrets), or a Souls-Like.
This is a proper old-school Castlevania styled game.

Highly recommended!

No es que sea malo, pero lo arruinan los bugs y ciertas decisiones de diseño horribles (como que el tipo se mueva tan lento como flotando). Varias veces el personaje se quedó colgado o congelado, si lo arreglan con unos parches y le meten un lindo descuento puede ser que valga la pena en alguna oferta. Sino no lo puedo recomendar al 100%, esperemos lo arreglen pronto. El pixel-art es bonito y la música se pone buena cerca del final.
