It seems very mysterious... And it seems like it's a DARK SOULS™ II.

First of all, have you played before and was everything okay?
- Because you mentioned your other save.

Unlike DARK SOULS™: REMASTERED - there is no option to play offline, at least directly in the game, as this may solve your problem.
- However, you can try offline mode through Steam:
https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/0E18-319B-E34B-B2C8

Another case may be related to damage to the save file(s).
- Find your local save files* and backup and only then delete them, then launch the game and see if that solves your problem.

* By default, the local saves files / folder located at the specified path:

This path related to Windows OS - we apologize if you have another OS; but the steps are the same, just the path will be different. You may prefer to back up the folder itself and only then delete it, just to be sure.
