The bats does next to no damage which means that you will have to use multiple attacks to kill a single fairy which is hard because you are going to get overwhelmed. Had a game where I was 3 minutes in and was only halfway to the first upgrade

There obvious aren't specific healing items and you seem to recover some when you upgrade HP, but my HP still recovers after some time even when HP is maxed. Because HP only shown in the top left corner instead of having a smaller bar above your head, I can't tell if there is some basic HP regen after a certain number of seconds or if it's influenced by the gem or faith pickups....
