In August of 2024 I made a post saying I was gonna roll out a series of updates revamping Linxy The Lynx, the first update released with some level touch ups and achievements not long after that post and now it's been about 4 months since that update so "where's the rest?" I hear you ask.

It's finally right around the corner!
Here's what's gonna be new!

Older levels are gonna be touched up even further for even better gameplay flow!

5 new levels (LOOONG levels this time around ;) ) will be added in continuing where the game was left off in its own mode which has already been teased as coming soon in the main menu (here's a peak)

These new levels on top of the original content should help a bit with the game length issue, the game is 99cents because of the short length but hey I get it I also love me a longer game so here's more content coming soon! :)

The new levels will feature some new enemies and hazards so YAY even more new content!

All cutscenes will remove the uh rather tacky voice acting by yours truly in favor for text boxes I get how my poor voicing can be kinda cringe so let's fix that (Linxy will be keeping his iconic "YEAH" though).

More achievements will be bundled with the new levels so achievement hunters be prepared these ones won't be so friendly alongside the difficulty spike of the new levels.

There will be some fixes to some jank like double jumping eating balloon jumps and well double jumping (again) screwing over trying to bounce higher off an enemies head, a more in depth list of changes will be provided at release.

Pixel art will be updated in older levels to hopefully make the game have a nicer more unique flare, this also includes the weird lighting in the island forest and island cenote levels looking very 'Scratch' gamey, the game also will feature some more visual flares and updated enemy animations, Linxy will remain mostly the same though his fast run animation will be improved along with minor touch ups where I see fit (A part of me though wants sit down pull an all nighter and completely replace Linxy's sprite for something fresh we'll see though if I can pull off something sleek maybe Linxy will look rad).

Music for the new levels is currently on the fence as I don't currently have contact with the original artist anymore so the torch will be passed on and maybe remixes of the original tracks will come included :) (Anyone got Shady Cicada's contact info? XD)


I'm aiming for a February release date for this new content in hopes to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of the game and give it a soft relaunch.

To anyone who's played Linxy or to anyone who wants to play it, I ask for you to please give me your trust I plan on making this game into what it deserves to be, a short but fun, exciting, non janky and eye catching game anyone can pick up and play, I'm putting all I've got into this second chance I'm giving this game and I'd like it if you did too!
