After many months of temptation to return to the game (haven't played since 2011!) I impulsively went to resub and BAM! Turns out SE flopped by switching to a low-rate credit-management company, and now people can't update or renew. Every alternative (crysta, steam wallet, etc) not working. Bought the game and cant even attempt to long in. The account creation is needlessly complicated.

I bought the game earlier today, and when it finished downloaded I was able to access the title screen, but whenever I tried to access the 'new character' option the game just crashed. I went into settings and enabled simplified character creation, which seemed to stop the crashing. However, now whenever I try to actually click on the select character option the game just instantly crashes. Does anyone know how to fix this?...

I Love FF just like any other cultured jrpg lover and I loved Realm Reborn back in the day when max cap was 45 no expansions. Looking for an MMO to play I find no justification why should the company still force people to pay 12 bucks for a Linage 1 graphics and early 2000s system, playing a monthly Fee for a PS2 level game while 14 exists with the same montly fee is ludacris.
