No way the milk truck on Amabel is real. This is more bullet hell than survivors like, and while it grows old quick, it costs less than a medium coffee here in Australia. Because of that, it gets a recommendation from me.



🟩 Pros:

+ Crisp and thematic pixel art is a real treat
+ Auto and manual aim modes, along with auto fire
+ A voiced opening attempting to create a story was unexpected
+ Upgrade up to 12 attributes serves as the primary meta progression
+ Upgradable Demon Drone companion (8 upgradable augmentations)
+ 3 distinct maps, featuring 4 rituals of various lengths and difficulties
+ 5 weapons (pistol, shotgun, machine gun, sniper, and plasma crossbow) with 2 upgrades each (these are a WIP)

🟥 Cons:

- Enemies get stuck on terrain
- Within the first hour, I feel like I’ve seen every upgrade from levelling
- Weapons and upgrades lack a much needed oomph, leading to a less than satisfying experience
- Reload indicator and clip size indicator differ in ammo counts, and while it’s not game breaking, poor UI usually indicates larger problems

Hunted by demons and feared by humans, Letifer’s on a ritual fueled quest to take down the Archdemons so she can finally confront her father. Gameplay is familiar – Collect experience shards during runs to earn upgrades for your attributes, drone, or gun. The goal is to light beacons, while also collecting Essence Shards and Rune Metals, among other currencies, to upgrade your attributes, empower your weapons, and improve your robot companion – It doesn’t bring anything new to the genre.

More bullet hell than survivors like, Letifer combines a bangin’ soundtrack with crisp demonic visuals, adding a servicable story and upgrades for everything on top! Despite dying a heap, it was always my fault, so I thank the game for valuing my time and not being unnecessarily difficult. Although repetition creeps in early than expected, it’s fun, and for the price, it’s a solid recommendation.

First: this game has auto-aim as an option! Second: what a cool game.

This game seems like a lovely addition to the VS-like genre. Though it's more bullet hell than it. The gameplay feels "tight", and the one at fault whenever I die (a lot) is almost certainly just myself, and not the game. The attrition is real. But I keep on improving, and have at times achieved damage that makes me smile a bit :)

Enemies are without number, but so are your bullets. Can't really compare this to something like Enter the Gungeon either, but I prefer this to it myself, by a lot.

Game-design wise this seems to do a lot of stuff right just in general. And there are meaningful upgrades and progression - not just more damage (though there's also that). The variety of enemies is also very good - they all behave differently, and that behaviour actually needs to be kept in mind. Though as the level progresses, the sheer amount of them starts making that hard. I guess that's the "hell" in bullet hell.

Can't really find anything bad to say ^^ Give it a try, it doesn't cost a lot.

I want to leave a proper review but currently having a hell of a good time blasting through things and getting destroyed ...
I highly recommend giving it a try but i'll wait to clear more than the smallest ritual before i give a more extensive review :D
