Small Bugfixes

A few players reported some out of memory errors and issues with the text-to-speech. This minor update should fix both of them!

Changes for version 0.0.23:

Fixed occasional out of memory errors on certain devices.
Fixed text-to-speech issue on the main menu.

Demo Update: The Good Manners Update

Play the updated Upheaval demo now!

Explore whole new rooms and locations, talk to two new NPCs (parent and child, both nobility), and discover the secrets of the manor, either by earning the trust of the lord or lady of the house, or by poking around until you're kicked out. In addition, there are new graphics that help convey the passage of time more clearly.

Highlights from this update

New region: The Manor! New rooms to explore, books to read, archives to visit, dinner to eat. Enjoy all the luxuries that nobility affords!

Two new characters: The Noble and the Lover (the Noble's son or daughter). Get to know both, improve your relationship with one or both (or neither), and explore all the interactions with these characters.

Discover all the secrets in the Manor! Hidden passages, old knowledge, and lost paintings. Can you discover all the secrets of the Manor?

The Lover in the Manor and the Prisoner in the Cave are determined to marry each other. Will they remain separated, or will true love prevail?

Upheaval Demo on Linux

UPDATE 9 JUNE 2024: Upheaval's Linux version appears to be working on Steam again! Screen Reader Compatibility

To use your favorite screen reader (NVDA, JAWS, etc.), you have two options: PLAY THE COMMAND LINE VERSION OF UPHEAVAL .
