Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless

Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless

Guess Disgaea 7 isn't a Disgaea Game by NIS...
https://store.steampowered.com/developer/nisa/list/50595/

I was just browsing around and noticed they never got around to adding D7 to their list of Disgaea titles on Steam.

Just posting this for the sake of amusement; maybe someone else will get a bit of a kick out of it. I wonder if they'll see this thread and correct that little oversight? :dis7_Fuji:

Funny because if you check anything else, it’s listed correctly.

Well, I guess it just shows how much dedicated staff they have/s. Everything focused on how to farm money. And since that Disgaea RPG online gacha game whatever it was is no longer milking them for more money, they continue with this series + heavy-priced DLC. Not that disgaea 6 wasn't a good example. Or how in Disgaea 4, they added an NPC, that never existed, that NPC being the one selling you paid, read money, good for nothing items. And it's even next to the gate keeper, as if to ensure you can't miss it=))))

In a way, it makes me wonder if game companies should even make a profit, and only receive salary payments for working, like fixing bugs and creating updates and such, are time consuming, because no matter how much bugs you fix, there always will be more. I mean, can you imagine a 300 GB Disgaea game that contains every Disgaea game in one? With tons of variation. With skills and such changing depending on whose Netherworld (or other worlds) you enter. And any profit the company make, it's not pocket money for the owners, but funds that, over time, will pay the salary of the people who work and improve such epic game.

So yeah, based on the idea I wrote, I’m starting to really believe that games making a profit (pocket money for "owners" like shareholders, and not gaining funds for the salaries of the people who work) is something that has stopped happening, and this is why we get games that look amazing and are "wow" to non-fans. But it’s nothing more than an empty shell that is either a second job (time-consuming with no reason, no fun, no rewards other than finally being done) or a recycling of previous games that fans loved.

Well, whatever...
