Mine hasn't ever turned back on at random. The only times I've seen them back on after I shut them off, is in coop. Because (unless the most recent patch changed it) someone lacking critical thinking skills decided that they should apply to EVERYONE in a room if only one person wants them, even if that person is not the host.
