Second Equipment Slot live on the beta branch & bug fixes

Hi everyone.

Today we’re excited to share the first version of the second equipment slot with you all.

With the additional equipment slot it should be easier to activate combos and to get synergies rolling. It will have a significant impact on the difficulty of the game and as such we’ll be looking to balance around the new power level.

This is where your feedback is vital. Please let us know how the difficulty feels now both in Endless Mode and in the main game.

Join instructions:

Right click Seer’s Gambit in your Steam Library
Click Properties in the drop down menu
Click Betas in the left hand menu
Input the password: YouAreAmazing in the Private Betas field
If it doesn’t automatically choose it, pick it in the Beta Participation drop down menu
Your game should now update, if it doesn’t completely close down Steam and start it again.
Profit! You should now be able to equip each character with 2 items.

Bug fixes for live version:

End of day buffs in Endless Mode will now correctly show their rare and epic stats instead of only the common variation.
Fixed an issue where Rosa the Red’s Wish Wisps wouldn’t explode.
Fixed an issue where it was hard to click the stats button in Endless Mode.
Picking “end run” in the main game will no longer also end your Endless Run.
The Executioner bleed buff in Endless Mode now has an icon.
Increased the additional damage done to poisoned enemies for the Endless buff.
Minor graphical fix for shadows in Purple Dungeon tilesets.

How to report a bug. We’ve done our very best to test Seer’s Gambit, but we’re a tiny team and games act differently depending on systems and setup so there will likely be bugs popping up. is there starting character select for not endless mode?

i saw in an update that endless mode can pick the starting character. does the normal mode have that? i was thinking about getting the game but hate the idea of resetting to get a fun start. thanks in advance.

CandleKeep?

Ive unlocked every upgrade and beaten phase three. Ive slowly checked everywhere on the map. I cant go north to candle keep as the game keeps telling me to do. what am i missing?

I had to stop the run because of stalemate. Evil Cultist Phase 4 cannot kill me but I cannot kill him.

Patch Notes January 23rd

Hi Everyone,

This is a small balance patch and a fix to a bug that had snuck during the last update.

Fixed an issue where the New Game button wasn’t working properly. You can now clear your progress completely again if you want to. WARNING this will reset all the overworld meta-progression as well so use with caution.
Reduced the number of Banshees that can spawn at the same time for multiple tilesets.
Reduced the number of Snails that can spawn at the same time for multiple tilesets.
Reduced the number of demos that can spawn at the same time for multiple tilesets.

We also want to give you a small update on the status of the second equipment slot. The main work on implementation is done now and it works well. The next step is to re-balance certain parts of the game to make sure the additional power doesn't make fights trivial.

We expect to have a build out on the beta branch early next week.

Patch Notes January 17th: Endless Mode Character Selector

Hi everyone,

We noticed that a lot of you were endlessly restarting the run in order to get the character you wanted and that’s not a cool experience. So in today’s patch we’re adding a character selection screen to Endless Mode.

There are also some minor bug fixes, but our main focus right now is put into the upcoming additional item slot. More info on that soon!

Changelog

A character selection screen has been added to Endless Mode.
Banshees have been nerfed some in Endless mode. You should no longer be able to encounter more than 2 Banshees at a time.
The English skill description for Banshees has been updated to better reflect reality.

Seer's Gambit

3rd stage of boss not making sense

I had multiple OP builds that easily rushed the first 2 stage of boss, then got to the third one, where it summons minions. Heros will ignore them as their target is locked on the boss, and eventually dying because without killing the minions the boss is pretty much unavailable. This is kind of stupid because I cannot control them to attack minions (or can I?)....
