I found it and read to equip it as a relic. Only NEITHER of my chars can equip it. Am I missing something?

I just noticed how similar this game looked to Crystal Project, with some sprites looking very similar. Is this related to that or does the sprites of the main characters just happen to look similar?

I got sold with those animated cutscenes and voice acting. They are a nice touch especially with the RPG MV (MZ?) Maker engine. My only gripe is that random battles are boring since they have almost the same enemy composition that do not threaten your party in any way because it does not require any strategy other than ganging up to kill one enemy. One of my pet peeves of ANY game is NO map/journal directing us where to go throughout the entire game. I hate wondering around, and then getting forced into damn ♥♥♥♥♥♥ monster trigger fights every 5 seconds while trying to find the location of where I want to go. This is absolutely annoying!!! After a while, I quit. This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Stop making frustrating games like this. You take the fun and relaxation out of what could have been a really good game. Thumbs down, Uninstalled....
